First Bobo & Pool Party

A couple of weekends ago, Trace received his first bobo (or injury) for those not hip with the Southern Louisiana lingo. Our friend Leslie was at the house and it was totally her fault...just kidding.

Trace was standing up by our coffee table holding a sippy cup and lost his balance. He fell on his bottom, which he usually does when he falls down, but the cup handle had hit the side of his mouth. A little blood and a few tears later and everything was A-OK. It was just the first of many "little boy" injuries that he'll like get, as we learned this past weekend with a tumble off of the bed.

Here's the little man shortly after cutting his lip:

What a tough little guy!

Pool Party

I'm long overdue to post about our pool party...it's been a crazy week or so (More on that in the next post).

On Mother's Day weekend, we put up Trace's pool for the first time in the backyard and he loved it! Trace really enjoys a bath and getting into a swimming pool was even better. He could splash all he wanted, play with lots of toys and mommy and daddy could join in.

Here are a few pictures of him enjoying the day:

Our Day at the Park

A couple of weekends ago, we brought Trace to one of the many BREC parks in town and he loved it. We checked out the slides, swung on the swings, rode the seesaw and even explored sand for the first time.

We're going to start trying to do more fun stuff like this with Trace each weekend, instead of just dragging him along on all of our errands. This past weekend, we put up his swimming pool in the yard and enjoyed our first swim in his new pool (blog and pics coming soon). In the meantime, here are a few highlights from our day at the park:

Riding the Seesaw:

Playing in the sand (he wasn't quite sure what the sand was. He kept trying to pick it up and was fascinated that he couldn't hold it all, as it kept slipping through his fingers):

Enjoying his bath when we got home:
